Centre Stage Main Stage Production

Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Sunday, September 25th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm
PERFORMANCE DATES: 2012
January 12,13,14,19,20,21 @ 8pm
January 15 @ 3pm
Rehearsals will be held on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays beginning November 2011. Not all cast members will be called for every rehearsal. If you are unable to make all the performances, we will be unable to cast you in this production!
AUDITION INFORMATION

Audition appointments by e-mail are preferred, but if you do not have access to e-mail call Centre Stage at 864-233-6733, ext. 14 and leave a message. Please be specific as to the time and role/s you would like to schedule your appointment. If you cannot make the audition dates, please contact Glenda for an additional time.
All roles are open to audition. Those auditioning must be 16 years or older.
Be prepared to read sides from the script. Bring a headshot and resume with current contact information.

ROGER- Male 30-45. A developmentally disabled father who loves his son.
GUY - Male 16-25. A college-bound son who loves his dad.
CLARICE - Female 55-65. A friend of the family who keeps them together.
EMILY - Female 16-25. Guy's girlfriend.
DERRICK- Male 25-45. Roger's best friend. Also developmentally disabled
ABOUT THE SHOW - Roger and Guy have a good life; Father and Son; Best Friends Forever. Not perfect; but good enough. Then, things change. Good enough doesn’t make it. How do you get more, if getting more means leaving behind everyone you love?
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT - Steve Totland, a playwright/performer/teacher. Works produced by Steppenwolf Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Road Theatre, 24th Street Theatre, Virginia Avenue Project, stageworks/Hudson, Another Country Productions, Herring Run Theatre Festival, and the Festival of New American Plays in London. Most recent, You Are Here, selected for the 2011 Great Plains Theatre Conference PlayLabs. A Ph.D. in Performance Studies and teaching performance and playwriting at Northwestern University, University of Chicago, Pomona College, and The California Institute of the Arts. A member of DogEar, and the Dramatists Guild.
