Greenville Tech

GTC offers an Associate of Arts Transfer Track in Theatre. With over 12 theatre courses to choose from, students can fully emerse themselves in the art of theatre at Greenville Tech. If you would like to investigate theatre and performance as a career option or as a complement to your college pursuits, GTC has a lot to offer. The Theatre Program is in the department of Visual and Performing Arts. Dr. Brian Haimbach, Centre Stage's Literary Manager for our New Play Festival, is the head of the Theatre Program at GTC. Contact him at brian.haimbach@gvltec.edu or go to http://www.gvltec.edu/vpa/ for more details.
The Theatre Program of Greenville Technical College is proud to call Centre Stage home. We teach our technical theatre courses and present our fall and spring productions at Centre Stage. This partnership gives GTC students the opportunity to become part of the downtown professional theatre scene and afford the training possible only in a fully equipped theatre space. Each year over 700 GTC students benefit from Centre Stage's willingness to open their doors to them.
Courses taught at Centre Stage have included:
- Intermediate Acting
- Beginning Directing
- Theatre Production I and II
- Children's Theatre
- Stagecraft
