Clarence Darrow is the one attorney in American history against whom all others are measured. An object of fascination, celebration and condemnation, he headlined many of the most famous cases of the 20th century, most notably the 1925 Scopes “Monkey Trial,” a watershed in the creation-evolution controversy that rages to this day.
Clarence DarrowSpend an unforgettable evening with the law’s most unpredictable legend as Warren Mowry channels Darrow in a fresh spin on playwright David W. Rintels’ one-man tour-de-force directed by the Peace Center’s Nancy Halverson.

Who's who ...
An accomplished actor with decades of experience touring and performing Darrow, Warren Mowry’s legal credentials are no less impressive. He has served as the 13th Circuit Assistant Solicitor in Greenville County, as head of the department of criminal justice at Greenville Technical College and as legal and political consultant for WYFF-News 4, WSPA 7 and WHNS Fox21.

Nancy Halverson has held faculty positions in theatre at the University of Illinois and Augustana College, directed for the Kennedy Center and assisted Stephen Sondheim in the development of Merrily We Roll Along.
